About me

My background was not in music, I have a degree in Electronic Engineering, and came to Malvern to work in the local electronics industry; but through the twists and turns of life, I found myself in a position to take saxophone lessons and I found a real passion in life.

I was lucky enough to learn to play the recorder very young in life, later learning the violin and the trombone before I left school and headed out into the world of electronics.

I have been learning the Saxophone for over 7 years and have taken a number of Saxophone performance and Music Theory exams. I am now working towards an ATCL Diploma in Saxophone Performance.

I firmly believe that all learning should be enjoyable, and progress is best achieved with regular practice between lessons.

I am a member of a number of local music groups, including Saxophone ensembles, a Jazz band, and a Big Band, and I can occasionally be found busking  on the High Street raising funds for the MS Society.
